The awareness of the meeting place that links opposites and mediates between them. A match between the feelings of the heart and the way they are expressed. Truth develops from the processes of life: “Truth springs forth from the earth, and righteousness looks down from heaven.”
The awareness that human beings cannot accomplish things by their own strength alone. The transformation of the self-centered ani (I) to ayin (nothingness). The wish to live in simplicity, like an ordinary human being, and express unity without arrogance.
Sublime, limitless light that exists beyond the ability to understand, contain, or internalize. It has a hidden influence upon the consciousness, encompassing it until the consciousness is able to absorb the light, as it is written: “It encompasses all the worlds.”
Contracted light, limited by the ability and quality of the vessel that contains it. It is some of the encompassing light that was absorbed, received, and internalized in the consciousness via the intellect, the senses, and the inner understanding, as it is written: “It fills all the worlds.”
Light that is drawn to and influences the recipient, from the Creator, who is also called “The Light,” to the created beings in order to give them life. Its direction is from above to below. This light is unchanging; like sunlight, it is the same at its source and its destination.
Light that is reflected from the recipient to the source. Its direction goes from below to above, as it is transformed from dense to refined. It does not exist on its own, but reflects the light that it receives, just as the moon reflects the light of the sun.
